If you're not trying to get the lowest possible input latency, or the app's FPS stays inside your monitor's DRR window on the regular, then leaving vsync enabled will cap your framerate anyways. The only time you'd want to turn off vsync with FreeSync is if the app's FPS can go way above your monitor's max refresh and you want the lowest possible input latency at the expense of a little tearing at high framerates. RTSS capped to 141 and 138 (138 was better but tearing was) and I don't know what's the reason. However, many other games I play I'm seeing an improvement in frame rates/performance so i know it can't be my setup. At first I thought, maybe it's this eGPU thing, it's not as great as I thought. Technically speaking, this 9750H is faster than my old CPU, yet my FPS is utter crap now comparatively. I'm using the exact same card that was once inside my Desktop in which I had an i7 4770k. What's odd is turning settings all the way down on each one, has nearly no impact what so ever except for maybe 4-5 FPS. Seems to be no matter what I do, my FPS when on plane at th ebegging of the game hovers from 38-45 FPS and a measely 50 spiking up to 70 and 80 indoors facing a wall. I've got a new Blade Pro 2019 17" with a 2060 inside, that 2060 is somewhat irrelevant as I also have a Razer Core X with a 1080Ti inside.
